The sheer volume of students that graduate every year makes it difficult to appreciate the individual journeys that many of them take on their way to graduation. The few seconds that they walk across the stage doesn't do justice to the hours and hours of sacrifice that lead them to that point.

 

By disrupting the normal academic procession at the Faculty of Arts graduation 2019 (which we got in trouble for*) we allowed a single student's story to shine on the grandest academic stage.

*Later, the graduation committee requested the video to be played at every graduation ceremony :)
